Formed as a quartet in Nancy, France in January 1994,
SCARVE made their first steps with a self-titled demo tape
featuring a rough, yet personal mixture of death and heavy
metal. Reviewers acclaimed the originality of the music, as
well as the wide vocal range which remains to this day an
essential ingredient of SCARVE's sound.

The self-financed mini-CD Six Tears of Sorrow, released
in 1996, confirmed the band's undeniable songwriting
capabilities. It was received with countless praising
reviews worldwide, and established SCARVE as one of the
most promising French underground acts.

In 1998, the addition of two new vocalists, specializing
in melodic and brutal vocals respectively, gave the band
