Saybia struggled hard to win a record contract. Three of its members started the band back in 1993 in the little central Denmark port of Nyborg. Since then they have been working intensely to make the world outside aware of its talent potential. With the addition of a new guitarist and a keyboard player at the end of 98, Saybia found its own structure and style. The group itself financed two early EPs: Dawn Of A New Life (1998) and Chapter 3 (2000) records sold at concerts and today in high demand among fans (though almost impossible to get your hands on). On New Years Day 2000 the band moved to Copenhagen. And again, I wasn´t disappointed. The Saybia albums are already great, but to see/hear them playing live on stage. . . . unbelievable. This was their last gig before returning to Denmark to record their third album, Can´t wait. . . I went to see them and was very pleasantly surprised. I had heard of them before and listend to "The day after tomorrow" for a very long time, but it was already 2 years ago, so I hadn't heard anything of them in a long time (except the new single "I Surrender"). When they played at Pinkpop the whole crowd sang the words, it was so beautiful, it left me with tears in my eyes. The whole intence ambiance Saybia can create is magicly. I'm looking forward to go to another concert of them!
