Even if it is, it's an awesome song. It kind of reminds me of the struggles in the Grapes of Wrath, truth be told. And now for something entirely different- the last stanza. They has some sort of overlapping lines type thing, and while it is very cool, I can't make out what the second (first, maybe?) voice is saying... Is it a repeat of 'The world breathes'? I think this song refers a lot back to the Fall of Man - when "we" disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, and were separated from God - "Our maker has gone away." "No spirit in your soul" most likely refers to a life without God; no Holy Spirit within you. "Who is to blame?" We are. And "he" is (I believe, meaning Satan, who is the liar refered to in "Because he lies." Clarification is wonderful, ain't it?
