They've been called the Rolling Stones of country music,
and really, that's no exaggeration. For 20 years, Sawyer
Brown has set the pace and continues to go the distance
with fresh, fun and relevant songs that challenge
themselves as musicians while creating personal experiences
for their listeners. And their live shows - over 3,000 (and
counting!) - are legendary for the excitement, energy and
emotion they generate. Herein lies the secret of the band's
youthful longevity.
Vocalist Mark Miller, keyboardist Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard,
lead guitarist Duncan Cameron, bassist Jim Scholten and

------ About the song Small Town Hero performed by Sawyer Brown
This is a great song about what the soldiers that fought in the Vietnam Conflict went through when the came home. A country of citizens that was led by the nightly news was so against the conflict, because they did not understand it, that they turned their frustrations on the soldiers sent to war. This song, while not as true today, still sends a haunting message and is wonderfully written.
I love this album and I think the song HE SENT A CARPENTER is the best song I have ever heard. I play it over and over and over. I just love it. Thank you so much for publishing such a wonderful heart felt song about god. I can't express the depth of just how I feel about this song. I think this is your best album ever. I love Sawyer Brown and the way he moves with his music you can tell he's song come right from his heart. Maybe someday I'll get to see you guys live in concert and if I do I will definately ask you to sing He Sent A Carpenter. I give this a 10 star rating.
I'm not sure of all the lyrics for Sawyer Brown's Mighty Big Broom. But, I DO KNOW this is not a Sawyer Brown song. There are NO similarities,

------ About the song The Walk performed by Sawyer Brown
When I listen to this song, I am reminded of the day we took my father to a nursing home. He dressed up in a coat and tie and I still remember seeing him lean on his cane in the kitchen. Surely he knew he was never coming back home, and yet he was so brave, so accepting and so willing to go. I think because he knew, just like in this song, that it was a walk he had to take. So sad. That memory is both one of my best and worst. And this song beautifully captures that memory.
