Savior Lyrics - 30 Seconds to Mars

Review The Song (23)

Until you crash
Until you burn
Until you lie
Until you learn
Until you see
Until you believe
Until you fight
Until you fall
Until the end of everything at all
Until you die
Until you're alive

Don't save me, don't save me, cuz I don't care
Don't save me, don't save me, cuz
I don't care

Until you give
Until you've used
sponsored links
Until you've lost
Until you lose
Until you see, how could you believe?
Until you've lived a thousand times
Until you've seen the other side
This is my chance, this is my chance

Don't save me, don't save me, cuz I don't care
Don't save me, don't save me, cuz
I don't care

Until the truth becomes a lie
Until you change, until you deny
Until you believe

This is my chance, this is my chance
I'll take it now because I can
This is my chance, I want it now

Don't save me, don't save me, cuz I don't care
Don't save me, don't save me, cuz
I don't care

Save me, save me, save me
Save me, save me, save me
I don't care

What i get | Reviewer: Jay | 10/12/13

First i read a comment, and in reality many of Jared songs HAVE a religious meaning; well let me explain it, it has to do with God; not religion. In other words he believes in a God but religion is not his thing for each ones sets different rules and says different things so he blankly believes there is a higher power but not any rule or "jurisdiction" and by actually listening to his song you can get that. Even allot of their songs have a God oriented non religion vibe, he is always talking about God but he is always dissing religion because of the same reason. I feel it because I'm like that, I diss religion allot but I do believe and follow a God. Over all I think this song is about all of it combined. Human don't always only have one emotion but many at the same time and it's something that 30stm talks about. each line is a new emotion but all together makes a story. This song is life in general, his path, his emotion, you can't understand what he knows cause you weren't there and when it is all over he tries To be strong but he needs a savior, God or another person but he need someone to save him from what he feels, from his thoughts, from what he has seen, he tried his best to be strong, to pretend like everything was ok and nothing mattered, because even though he needs it, how can you save him, if you don't know anything of him truly inside?

What is this song about? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/11/11

Jerod's key role in any film to date I would have to say is when he played the lead role in Reqium for a Dream. It was a part that was actually run throughout the entire film. Great flick BTW if you haven't seen it. Intense really. As an ex-drug addict (pot doesn't do this kind of thing, but it still can destroy who you are and your potential to become...) I can tell you much of what was depicted was very close to reality. Not that Hollywood doesn't know anything about that stuff but suffice it to say he played the role well!!! He must have at least known someone who went through an ordeal like that in order to have the insight that he did in order to play the part that he did the way he did. I am certain this song is about a drug addict trying to get free. Maybe not himself but someone close. "Until you crash, until you burn, until you lie, until you learn". Until you have witnessed that state first hand you'll never be able to understand much less feel what needs to be felt in order to deliver what Jerod did vocally in this song. More than that this isn't a casual recreational user in this song. Only a true addict would go though this. Crash and burn specifically! On a side note; I should also say this and the song points it out too: Until you have been there how can you judge? You don't know what has motivated someone until you can get inside their head. Life for some people can be real hard!!! BTW I work professionally in the Music Industry as well and I have had a very successful career despite this. There is hope!!!

not religious | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/8/11

I don't think its religious at all, especially since most of their songs don't have a religious meaning. To me it sounds like he's talking to someone who wouldn't get it..."until you see, how could you believe?" as if he's saying that until they've gone through everything he has "until you give, until you've used..etc" then they can't understand nor save him

Naruto reference? | Reviewer: Yoshisbiggetstfan | 11/7/10

This album was released on August 2005, a few months after episode 130-135 of Naruto were. I know this sounds really dorky and probably completely irrelevant and just ironic, but to anyone the watches Naruto, the first time I heard this song, I completely thought/felt that this was what Sasuke was trying to tell naruto. "Don't save me, because I don't care. This is my chance." Until he lived through all the hardships that Naruto 'never' had lived through, he would never understand what he is going through and should leave him alone until then. Just saying. Irony is just awesome, especially from this epic band 8D

Jared Leto | Reviewer: Lawrah | 12/8/09

this is a actully amazing song, and any 30 seconds to mars song is, the give me confidence and it actully feels there saving my life. and i think jared leto is actully gorgeous, and person im obsessed with him and the band, and i think he's perfect and his voice, jeez, he puts so much passion in to it, it calms me down.

Great song | Reviewer: Corey N | 10/18/09

This song is so great! I love the beat. As for all those people who think its religious, seriously, this isn't red or skillet trying to make a religious point out of a song about a tragic happening or JFAC or slipknot, which tries to talk about more demonic things at times this is 30 seconds to mars. They DO NOT focus on anything religious at all, hey man, even Buddha for mary even though it had the part where it stated her religion, was just a story about a girl who became corrupt through her misery that wasn't her fault, the religion she worshiped being the main representation of said corruption. I don't know if there is a point to this song, however if there is I can almost bet it isn't religious seeing as how Jared even said that he does not focus on writing things about religion, but more or less on feelings and emotions. But, regardless of my rant, all I can really say is that its a brilliant song.

Wow | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/11/09

This is like one of the most insperational peaces of music I'v heard and it has given me confidence , 30 seconds to mars have i mean but the fact is stop speaking about jerrad leto I mean hes and ok singer and a brillant song writer its just the fact the band makes the music give more credit to the band!

The Savior | Reviewer: Ricardo Briones | 1/24/09

No one can deny the passion and power Jared Leto has in his voice. The question is: Why is he singing about Salvation?.Its undeniable to see his rejection, at the same time He clearly says at the end.Come Save me,come save me. This only leads me to believe in the desire of the singer for a Savior. Someone able to take his pain and heal his brokeness. That Savior is willing if only He would open his Heart and recognize his brokeness.
Years ago someone took his pain, sin and rejection. The Blood He shed speaks of a Love greater than anything Jared could ever feel.He has made a way so he can be Saved!Yes,Jesus did it and he is waiting for anyone to open their heart to receive his Salvation!Thank you Father for your love and for your Son!

SAVIOR | Reviewer: Ricardo Briones | 1/21/09

Salvation from himself? the deep question of life
Do we need a Savior?. I believe is not a human person cause no one is perfect. What Jared is screaming for, someone to love him with Passion and never let him down.
I pray for The Lord to allow Jared to put his finger on the hands and the Side of Him who died for Him.I believe the answer can only be found once you touch The Love of The SAVIOR,JESUS CHRIST!

... | Reviewer: Chris | 11/26/08

It's not about Christ, or drugs. It's about a woman. his heart has been destroyed and now she wants to save him after she's harmed him so, and he doesn't want her help.

"Until the truth becomes a lie
Until you change, until you deny
Until you believe"

I really love the music to this song, but It's sad how he doesn't seem to believe in 'the' Savior... in the bit where he says "until you see, how could you believe?" I don't think that's true. I believe there is a Savior! ONE Savior, Jesus Christ, and you don't need to see to believe... he has helped the world in many many battles and continues to do so... he shouldn't be blamed for the bad things that happen, for it is man that is to blame... God gave us free will, so we are responsible for our own actions and the consequences that follow... I'm a little confused at the end of the song when he switches from "Don't save me" to "save me"... i think the last part is just more of a repeat than actually meaning save me... if you don't get what I mean. example: "I need you" you can repeat by saying "need you, need you" ... but i'm still unsure... I still enjoy this song

true help | Reviewer: writre900 | 2/6/08

i agree with <Reviewer: J> about how it is all about experience, and you should not help unless you have experianced it yourself....Jared shows that is really asking for someone to save him in the end, but by knowing what he is going through, you can here his pleas for help....

for <Reviewer: Amber> he says, 'what you do' in the background....

Can anyone help? | Reviewer: Amber | 1/24/08

I don't know what says the music in the chorus part..when says:

Don't save me, don't save me, "cuz I don't care"
Don't save me, don't save me, cuz
I don't care

The part that i indicate whit quoting marks (") says something on it..a musical arrangement but i don't know what does it says on it!can anyone help me please?

Who? | Reviewer: soundboredz | 11/3/07

What's a savior? Someone (-thing) that lifts burdens of a life. Could be drugs. Could be hugs. Heck, even could be thugs(i.e., "friends"...it just rhymed.) There is a "peace that surpasses all understanding" and all medication, libation, or relation (man, i love to alliterate). Very few find it. People and things may somehow fill the void, but it's beyond our attainment (just consider the Middle East). So, the lyricist exclaims, at the bitter end, as do we all, "save me."

i think | Reviewer: J | 9/27/07

i think its about something along the lines if u havent experienced what i have then dont try to help me with what you dont know and witht he its my chance he doesnt care about the someones help hes going to do it alone and now is his chance and until uve been through what i have then im on my own.........whether that makes sense to anyone but me im not sure but thats what i get from it
