Satellites And Astronauts Lyrics - In Flames

Review The Song (4)

Since the day of my departure
I've been stumbling through reality
I play my symphony in reverse
as I aim for that special path

Be gentle to the tear in this eye
Lonesome arms, lost its wings again

Buy me a trip to the moon
So I can laugh at my mistakes
You see, I can see the end from here
From this perspective it looks kind of silly
Satellites and astronauts
Tell me there are greater things ahead

Make me feel like a man
A silent cry from the middle of hell
(I - the irony - I promise, I'll be mature
So please, please invite me
please, invite me, to your shelter again)

Been hiding since I heard "never"
Take me back to yesterday, I need to grow

Buy me a trip to the moon
So I can laugh at my mistakes
You see, I can see the end from here
From this perspective it looks kind of silly
Satellites and astronauts
Tell me there are greater things ahead

Buy me a trip to the moon
So I can laugh at my mistakes
You see, I can see the end from here
From this perspective it looks kind of silly
Satellites and astronauts
Tell me there are...

Steal my mask and make me pay
I need a new skin, I'm going insane

A song of insanity | Reviewer: Avijit | 8/14/11

The first time I listened to it, I became the fan of its melodic bridge, dramatic build-up, merciless chorus and stuck-in-mind guitar solo. I think the song as a conversation between the 'nasty' subconscious and superficial purity, that is fading away, giving the 'nastiness' to grow. Satellites and astronauts are the people far away from their root, alone in alien environment.

Good song. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/28/09

This guy is a lyrical genius. They're all so full of emotion. I used to not like this song because it is is really depressing but i've changed. its really mellow and is a good song to feel sorry for yourself to.

Amazing, just amazing. | Reviewer: Rob | 7/6/08

The first song I've ever heard by In Flames was Only for the Weak, which then I got my hands on Clayman. Satellites and Astronauts is easily my favourite In Flames song. It's just amazing. Pure and simple. Amazing.

Amazing. | Reviewer: Holly | 1/20/08

This is definately one of the best In Flames songs I've ever heard. It's simply amazing and I love ever second of it. Clayman = the best In Flames album in my opinion, their older stuff just seems so much better, the solos and Anders' vocals... all of it. Come Clarity was a bit of a let-down compared to the others. :/

But yeah, amazing.
