Samantha was born in Southampton, New York, and took music
lessons when she was 12. A couple of years later, she
started to sing with a band, and did national anthems at
college football and basketball matches. When she was 16,
she performed on MTV's "The Grind". Her big break came when
she was a regular singer at New York's Tatou, where she was
introduced to some EMI executives. Samantha did some demos
for them and within 2 weeks, Universal Music CEO Doug
