And you can try to fight this all you want,
but I won't be there when you're all alone.
This new season brings with it signs of hope.
Now you can leave me waiting all alone
And I know, there is
Some place I can go
Where no one knows my name.
And I still remember the sound of your voice.
Although your silence still rings so clear.
And do you think that I would call
just to hear you breathe?
You always knew that just one word would dry up all my tears.
And I know there is
Some place I can go
Where no one knows my name,
no one knows my name.

Just a thought, but something tells me that the lyrics to this song were written and intended to be acoustic, but ended up being used in "Where no one knows". I think that when Dallas had some spare time he arranged them the way he wanted them into an acoustic piece. Any thoughts on this?

Some of Alexisonfire's songs were written by Dallas Green (like this one, happiness by the kilowatt and side walk when she walks) so Alexisonfire and City and Colour both performed them with different styles.

its called Sam Malone because that's the name of the barman in the US TV Show Cheers. Cheers (according to the theme) was the place you could go "where everybody knows your name". Get It?
If you were to go on wikipedia, you would find out that he wrote this song when he was in his teens. I think it said his early teens. If that is true, then we can tell that he had talent way back then and it just pregressed...

Great song, with an old style riff, very bluesy, and both are right, Dallas Green uses some lyrics from the Alexisonfire song "Where no one knows your name". Keep up the good work Dallas.! x

First off, the person above me is false. Completely false. Second, this is a very well done song, but at some point, his stuff blends together
