Sweet thing
I know how strong I can appear
But your don't know the days
Since somebody loved me
You came
And led me through that door again
You say you want to stay
But you don't know me (no you don't)
You make me feel safe
Someday
My darkest fears will find their way
After all
Somebody loves me
All day
My heart tells strangers how I feel
And it's hard not to feel this way
When you thought your future was on prescription

Thanks to jan for putting into words what I couldn't say. So glad they posted this comment just a few days ago in Jan 2008, after the last one in 2005! And here I come a year later in Jan 2009 to read both excellent comments. I feel the same way, strong on the outside and weak on the inside, and all any of us want is to be loved (and to give love) and to feel safe. Isn't it?
This tract is a window into George's mind, an uneasy restlessness is evident, but who really knows anybody is the underling theme dream here, simple beautifully sculpted lyrics tied up with an enchanting almost hypnotic trance like musical score, well, done George, this is a clever and mature approach to your craft.
Safe is "Amazing"! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/21/05
This is one of the Michael's most beautiful songs. The lyrics are so short and simple but so profound and mooving in the same time(I maybe find it the way i do because I appear very strong and the truth is so far from that strong appearence of mine lol)
George, God bless U...!
It's a shame for a guy like you not to sing any more!
Reconsider it...
