Am a young man from Africa , Angola, I first listened to this song from a Scotish man who was mentoring me in oil and gas operations , he and many others were faced to leave the country to pave way for nationalizing the positions their were holding at the worlds biggest oil and gas company.These folks were so good to us and they did so much to improve the work place and many things. I liked these folks were americans , scots, Brits am African. I made me so strong went they left.

This is a song written by Lebi Siffery, when seeing black children being shot during the apartheid in South Africa. Every one can relate to this song when being suppressed and has been faced by injustice/wrong. Very encouraging in deed. I certanly has taken this song to heart in order to get strength in my life.

I bought the tape(yes, at one time in our musical history we did have tapes) at the PX in Fort Gorgon, Georgia in 1989. The whole cassette was masterful and incredible to listen to. I am trying to find out if it has been remastered onto CD. If you haven't heard the other songs - you need to - Kenny Rogers at his absolute best!
