I have been looking for songs to play at my funeral. I am in the winter of my life and planing my last goodbye for my family and friends. After reading the lyrics, the "Legacy" review inspired me to choose Run for the Roses. It truly does portray ones life. Thanks!

Every living creature leaves a legacy. i know this song refers to horses however I am a farm girl and this song to me embodies from birth to death. It takes us from childhood to adulthood and beyond. I have birthed, raised and sold many cattle and each generation makes you a little sadder and yet prouder at the same time. I am not from Kentucky but love horses. I am from the Shenandoah Valley, Bentonville,Va to be exact. I am only 40 but when I leave this world I will come back and haunt my nephew if he does not play this at my funeral. This song is that moving to me. I would love to see the video also. I miss Barbaro a great deal. He was an inspiration to us all. I hope to go to Louisville Ky to visit Barbaro.
