My name is Rodney Crowell. I am a songwriter and recording
artist. (A Grammy, an ASCAP lifetime achievement award,
Rolling Stone Magazine announcing me some kind of
can’t-miss star of the future after the release of my first
album and the over-worked distinction of being the only guy
to write, sing, and produce five consecutive number-one
songs in the country music field are a few of the
commendations that might decorate my calling card were I to
carry one.) The place of my birth is Houston, Texas. The
Crowell/ Willoughby blood-lines from which I sprang are of

------ About the song Things I Wish I'd Said performed by Rodney Crowell
The first time I heard this song, Rodney sang it on Nashville Now On April 4, 1992.. At the very moment he was singing it, I said to myself that it was such a beautiful song, and that if anything happened to my son, I would not have to say I wish I had said that I loved him. Well, at that very moment, my son died in an accident.. We had this song played at his funeral.

------ About the song Still Learning How To Fly performed by Rodney Crowell
still learning how to fly is one of the best songs and most well written. it's like rodney crowell has somehow crept into my mind and pulled out every thought and emotion. the verse where he says, "you can't let down your guard when there is so much at stake" is so very true and so very heartbreaking at the same time. i'm 21 years old and out into the real world for the first time and i am just learning how to fly and this song makes me realize that it takes time and that it's ok to fall down and look back with regret.....as long as you move forward.

------ About the song I Walk The Line (Revisited) performed by Rodney Crowell
The first time I heard this song it was the video and it just blew me a way like Rodney sings about Jonny Cash.
I had to find out more about the guy that sang it and now have become a big fan of all Rodney's music.
