This was essentially (as were all RS albums of the early seventies)a Faces album. Songs such as "Angel" and "I'd rather go blind" were staples in the Faces live set and Rod's backing band on the record was the faces.
'You Wear It Well" is almost a hybrid of the previous years "Maggie May" but to this day has a charm that many other artists would give everything to create. If you are a Faces fan, it is worth trawling through the first few Rod solo albums because many treasures can be found that compliment The Faces brief album discography. "Twisting the night away" is standard rock and roll fare but still worth a spin. When compared to any album that Rod has released since 1980, this is a Five Star album.
