Rocket Queen Lyrics
Artist(Band):Guns N' Roses
Review The Song (14)Print the Lyrics
If I say I don't need anyone
I can say these things to you
'Cause
I can turn on any one
Just like I turned on you
I've got a tongue like a razor
A sweet switchblade knife
And I can do you favors
But then you'll do whatever I like

Chorus:

Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen
I might be a little young
But honey I ain't naive
Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen oh yeah
I might be too much
But honey you're a bit obscene

I've seen everything imaginable
Pass before these eyes
I've had everything that's tangible
Honey you'd be surprised
I'm a sexual innuendo
In this burned out paradise
If you turn me on to anything
You better turn me on tonight

Chorus

I see you standing
Standing on your own
It's such a lonely place for you
For you to be
If you need a shoulder
Or if you need a friend
I'll be here standing
Until the bitter end
No one needs the sorrow
No one needs the pain
I hate to see you
Walking out there
Out in the rain
So don't chastise me
Or think I, I mean you harm
Of those that take you
Leave you strung out
Much too far
Baby-yeah

Don't ever leave me
Say you'll always be there
All I ever wanted
Was for you
To know that I care

Makes me sad I was born in the 90s because this song is a piece of genius and damn I wish I could go see that band with the original line up.

Freaking amazing song. I recommend it to everyone. (Thanks Greg for letting me borrow your CDs. You've made me a GNR fan. too!)

amazing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/7/09

This song is absolutely awesome, listening to it makes me melt everytime. In Reckless Road, they talk about the meanings of this song, though it's not very hard to grasp. But honestly, GNR was one of the best bands, ever. I can't believe that Axl seriously gets to call his band GNR, cos it's really just Axl and friends. Grr. Let's not get me started...

This song is an incredible piece of music history in my opinion, like someone else mention this song is so very underrated it's ridiculous, In all the years that the song has been out i've heard it once, once on a radio station. The song is so different than the others on the appetite album but it fits so well still. I'm disgusted that the band broke up, I know they could've gone on to become the greatest in history, even though they still rank up there with the best, These guy are musical geniuses and this song reflects that, the tonality changes in the song are so very unique and if you really know music you will go through a gamut of feelings with this song. The album itself is the best Rock album ever in my opinion. I just hope more and young people discover G N R. and that it influences the next generation of musicians that change the landscape of music, like G N R did.

well well well, i love this rather muchly so i do.
its such a sexy song at the start and very like teasing. its like woooooooooo pour some cold water on it, things are getting hot! then its all like sexsexsextimee, then its like calm and stuff, like the girl might seem all feisty and like a temptress and like she enjoys what shes doing but this guy can see how kinda miserable she is and whatnot.
FOOKIN' KICKASS SONG YEH!

this song is sick | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/6/08

I'm gonna have to go with everyone on this one. This is now one of my favorite GNR songs, because of the supposedly "sad" ending. I think it is just a different type of song than that Disney pop that Heavy Fuel listens to. Just curious, where is he that he pays 10 dollars for a song?

Your Rocket Queen | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/1/08

Probably the most underrated GN'R songs of all time...definitely one of my all time favorites, possibly all time favorite. Axl's sexy voice, Slash's amazing guitar rifts, this song really speaks to me. I love it and I love Guns N' Roses!!!! For some reason there songs never get old eventhough some of them are 20 years old!! Love you guys!

Great song | Reviewer: GNRFOLIFE | 11/28/07

Slash makes this song in my opinion, The awesome leads, and riffs make this song easily one of my favorite GNR songs. The only other song by them that head over heels tops this one is Locomotive, which is the GREATEST song of all time.

the fun part is, the sex sounds playing during this song are actually axl rose having sex with his drummers girlfriend...

agreement | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/25/07

i think that heavy fuel is also a retard because in my opinion this is the best song off Appetite and Sweet Child o' Mine is one of their more popular songs and that makes me think that Heavy Fuel is just a 13 baby that sits in his mommies basement and rips on stuff he doesnt even know anything about
