My modern review | Reviewer: Anonymous ------ About the song Modern girl performed by Rick Astley Modern girl is one of 80's pop star's Rick Astley's earliest songs, taken from the poorly recieved film ''Knights and emeralds'' which starred Warren Mitchell, the track is clearly a stock/ aitken/ waterman classic although it was never released in the UK as a single, some pop scientists have claimed this would have been a massive UK hit. In the duration of the track (3.35) I found Rick's vocals to be calm though sometimes strained, although some may say he always sang like this I still find that his later hits (cry for help, Hopelessly) his very best work. All in all modern girl is a classic 80's track.
