Retrovertigo Lyrics
Artist(Band):Mr. Bungle
Review The Song (8)Print the Lyrics
Before you advertise
All the fame is implied
With no fortune unseen
Sell the rights
To your blight
Time-machine

While I'm dulled by excess
And a cynic at best
My art imitates crime
Paid for by
The allies
So invest

Now I'm finding truth is a ruin
Nauseous end that nobody is pursuing
Staring into glassy eyes
Mesmerized
There's a vintage thirst returning
But I'm sheltered by my channel-surfing
Every famine virtual
Retrovertigo

A tribute to false memories
With conviction
Cheap imitation
Is it fashion or disease?
Post-ironic
Remains a mouth to feed

Sell the rights
To your blight
And you'll eat

Now I'm finding truth is a ruin
Nauseous end that nobody is pursuing
Staring into glassy eyes
Mesmerized
See the vintage robot wearied
Then awakened by revision theories
Every famine virtual
Retrovertigo

i love the lyrics to this song...i love the way they re sung by mike...and the drum sounds...ah, the drum sounds! so compressed and unexpected when they kick in on the bridge. there are only a hand-full of albums i can say have change my life & i can safely say "California" is most definitely one of them. thanks fellas!

OH MY GOD | Reviewer: robyn2fresh | 3/13/09

I really dig this song. It's got a chill tone but you can still really get into it.
I love Mr. Bungle in general though, maybe I'm bias.
But I do have to say, their best cd was their self titled all the way.
:D

One of the Best Artiest ever | Reviewer: mike jones | 3/7/09

i have known Mike Patton for a while with peeping tom, tomahawk, loveage, and many more things and Mr. Bungle is the shit, i think that this CD is good but i really like there self titled CD the most, but mike patton in general his name is on the track its the shit...

One of "California"'s best, and a personal favorite, if you truly love music and havent gotten into Mr. Bungle, your in for a treat, their the most underrated band of all time, they truly made history with all there Cds. They werent restricted by genre, they did what they wanted how they wanted it, very experimental, CHECK OUT THE ALBUM "CALIFORNIA" if you like this song!

Probably the greatest song of all time. | Reviewer: Terry S. | 12/24/08

This song is not the "type" of song I usually would like. It has all the wrong elements but put together it works amazing well. The slightly out of tune steel guitar and low-fi electric organ suddenly explode into a tecno-esque cacophony of lows and highs. All the while with Pattons amazing vocal style. I have had this album for years and everytime I hear this song I STILL have to play it twice in a row.

kick ass | Reviewer: Joey D | 8/14/07

Yea, I finally heard this record for the first time this past week. What an incredible record, however, this is my favorite track right now. SO WELL DONE.

Wowmazing. | Reviewer: TheDude | 6/7/07

This is one of the greatest songs ever done, period. An wholly uncredited work of genius.

The best | Reviewer: DrChicago | 5/22/07

This is one of the greatest songs every done by Mr. Bungle. God damn classic I say.
