My dad passed away in August this year, when I hear this song, I think of him and I play it once a day, and tonight it hit me the hardest because he used to brighten Christmas so much, we used to have meaningless conversations, and he would sing little songs I thought were stupid back then, but now I would give everything to hear him to see him... Tonight, I realized that this song resounds in me because if I remember him, and all the things that meant everything to me, than he is with me. I do not have any recordings of my dad on video or my cell, but if I try hard enough I hear him now... But the part that hits me most is "I still miss you, God I still miss you, I know that you are waiting there, I always thought that you'd come home..." Because the last conversation I had with him before he went into surgery was how I would see him in two weeks... and I never went to visit him cuz I was sick... but before he left he forgot some papers on the table, and I walked up to him hugged him, and said "I love you dad." and he said "I love you too, see you soon..." So this song really does mean a lot to so many. Sorry for taking so much space, figured I wouldn't put this on a blog but rather with the lyrics that voice it best...

the voices and the instrumentals go together flawlessly, the lyrics are definitely great and the tune is very unique while at the same time extremely pleasing to the ears. what really did it for me in this song is the piano in the background. the dissonance it added to the song really sent chills down my spine in it's whimsical melody. great song.

I really love this song..my father just passed away few weeks ago. after I heard this song that night I listen to this song until I fall as sleep..perfect song! I miss my father so much and we'll always remember him forever..and I know he's there waiting for us..thanks for this song!

a sweet song. It's refreshing that some bands still write songs with heart and without a huge concern about a huge radio hit. This song is so personal sounding... so poetic and rad.

Yeah, I first heard this song on Smallville and loved it straight away. It's epic and painful and exultant all at the same time. These guys are legends, and now they're gone...and 50 Cent is still out there making music. There is no justice.
