Remembering Sunday Lyrics - All Time Low

Review The Song (15)

(feat. Juliet Simms)

He woke up from dreaming and put on his shoes
Started making his way past 2 in the morning
He hasn't been sober for days

Leaning now into the breeze
Remembering Sunday, he falls to his knees
They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last
Like the feeling of what he needs

Now this place seems familiar to him
She pulled on his hand with a devilish grin
She led him upstairs, she led him upstairs
Left him dying to get in

Forgive me, I'm trying to find
My calling, I'm calling at night
I don't mean to be a bother,
But have you seen this girl?
She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy, it seems
I'm going to ask her to marry me

Even though she doesn't believe in love,
He's determined to call her bluff
Who could deny these butterflies?
They're filling his gut

Waking the neighbors, unfamiliar faces
He pleads though he tries
But he's only denied
Now he's dying to get inside

Forgive me, I'm trying to find
My calling, I'm calling at night
I don't mean to be a bother,
But have you seen this girl?
She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy, it seems
I'm going to ask her to marry me

The neighbors said she moved away
Funny how it rained all day
I didn't think much of it then
But it's starting to all make sense
Oh, I can see now that all of these clouds
Are following me in my desperate endeavor
To find my whoever, wherever she may be

[Juliet Simms:]
I'm not coming back (forgive me)
I've done something so terrible
I'm terrified to speak (I'm not calling, I'm not calling)
But you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up, I'll be blunt, now the rain is just (You're driving me crazy, I'm)
Washing you out of my hair and out of my mind
Keeping an eye on the world,
From so many thousands of feet off the ground, I'm over you now
I'm at home in the clouds, and towering over your head

[Alex Gaskarth:]
Well I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home

My impression | Reviewer: CookieCream | 2/20/13

This song is amazing. There are so many interpretations of songs and i like to have my own personal one.
I think that this man loved this girl, so much and she was so beautiful and kind. But she didn't belive in true love, and she ended up sleeping with another man. She felt so guilty about it, and didn't want to see the pain on the mans face when he found out, so she killed herself. Or she could be in a plane (skydiving ect) but I think when she is above the clouds, that is what happened to her. He keeps drinking so he can try and forget and he doesn't belive that she is dead because he see's her in his dreams. He wants to marry her, keep her forever, but all he is doing is loving memories...
Amzing song. <3 All time low forever <3

Driving me crazy it seems | Reviewer: Elianna | 12/14/11

The song makes me cry all the time. I figured out what it means.

He woke of dreaming and put on his shoes
Stared making his way past 2 in the morning
He hasn't been sober for days

(I think the guy was trying to drink away all of his problems)

Leaning now, into the breeze
Remembering Sunday
He falls to his knees
They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last like the feeling if what he needs

(remembering things now. Remembering the breakfast they shared)

Now this placebos familiar to him
She pulls on his hand with a devilish grin
She led him upstairs(x2)
Left him dying to get in

(remembering the s.e.x)

Forgive me in trying to find
My calling I'm calling at night
I don't mean to be a bother
But have you seen this girl

(she left and wants to know where she went)

She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy it seems
I'm gonna ask her
To marry me

(he really misses her. He loves her so much that he wants to marry her)

An even though she doesn't beileve in love
He's determined to call her bluff
Who could deny these butterflies
They're filling his gut

(I guess she didn't beileve in love)

Waking the neighbors
Unfamiliar faces
He pleas o he cries
But he's only denied
Now he's dying to get inside

(he wants to find her. He NEEDS to find her. He can't live without her)

And then the chorus.......

The neighbors said she moved away
Funny, how it rained all day
Didn't think much of it then
But it's starting to all make sense

(she did something bad so she left. It kept raining. The guy is finally putting the pieces together)

Oh I can see know.
All of these clouds
Are following me in my desperate endevour
To find my whoever
Whoever she may be

(yep, deffinantly putting the pieces together)

I'm not coming back
I've done something so terrible
I'm terrified to speak
But you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up I'll be blunt
Now the rain is just washing you out of my hair
And out of my mind!!!
Keeping an eye on the world
So many thousands of feet of the ground
I'm over you now
I'm at home at the clouds
Towering over your head!

(she really did do something bad. She's running away from it. She can't stand it so she flies away in a plane. Away from him)

Well, Ill guess I'll go home noe
I guess I go home now
I guess i go home now
I guess I go home...

(he can't do anything about it. He let's her be free but misses her)

That's my idea. LOVE. this. Song

Love it so so much | Reviewer: Mia | 1/8/10

I love this song, i think whatever it is about it still has a lot of meaning and u can interpret it to fit any situation. Juliet Simms is amazing in this song and i saw her live on youtube and she is even better. Absolutely love it and is my favourite song since stumbled upon it on youtube. But yeah, thanks for writing this Powerful, amazing song.

okayy, | Reviewer: Laura | 12/7/09

Well Alex explained on his myspace page that this is infact about a girl on a plane not a girl killing herself. So the people claiming they know the truth about it and then saying its about sucide are wrong. not trying to be rude or anything, just saying.

His girlfiriend | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/4/09

It's based on something that actaully happened to him. His girlfriend was cheating on him and he didn't know but he was going to ask her to marry him.. "He woke up from dreaming" is about how he started to realise what was going on.. Then he went to find her but she ran away with the guy and Alex never really knew what happened

Idk | Reviewer: Carleigh | 11/18/09

It's a great song, no doubt about it but I keep wondering about what katie said. It makes perfect sense but what was the terrible thing she did wrong? Everyone compares songs to their own lives so everyone has different interpretations. I think what alex truly meant is between him and her, whomever she may be. Love the song!

Amazing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/1/09

This song is so powerful. It brought ne to tears the first time I heard it.
I don't like, however, how it could possibly be about the girl killing herself. But it is a moving song especially being acoustic.
Definately in my top 5 favorite songs.

youre all wrong. | Reviewer: Katie | 9/11/09

its not about a girl who died.
"Keeping an eye on the world, so many thousands of feet off the ground
I'm over you now, I'm at home in the clouds, towering over your head."

Is about a girl on an airplane. Shes running away to forget him or moving away to forget him.

Remembering Sunday | Reviewer: Shan | 11/1/08

No, the lines "Oh, I can see now that all of these clouds are following me in my desperate endeavor, to find my whoever, who ever she may be." means that he knows now that no matter how hard he tries to find the girl, he won't find her. And the clouds are either metaphoric, or (since the girl is dead and he doesn't know) that as he looks for her, she's following him from her place in the clouds, from heaven.
All I'm certain of though, is that she isn't watching him look for another girl. She's dead and he's trying to find her cause he doesn't know she is.

the last part.. | Reviewer: Jesse | 9/15/08

im thinkin the last part where it talks about "the rain following him to find his someone who ever it may be" its her watching him crying (hence the rain) and she is sad because she is watching him try to find someone else when she wishes she was the one that was with him.

this song is about | Reviewer: xxemoxbfsxx | 5/28/08

i love this song. it's my fav. the lyrics and beat blend wonderfully . well anyways the song means:

"He woke up from dreaming and put on his shoes
Starting making his way past 2 in the morning
He hasn't been sober for days"

obviously he's very sad and hasn't been sleeping right, trying to take away pain by drinking.

"Leaning now into the breeze
Remembering Sunday, he falls to his knees
They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last
Like the feeling of what he needs"

the first two lines are saying that he's remembering this day that was sad. tthen they had breakfast on that day, but she is now gone. you see his love for her was so great. that he needed her and felt that it was forever.

"Now this place seems familiar to him
She pulled on his hand with a devilish grin
She led him upstairs, she led him upstairs
Left him dying to get in"

he's remembering having sex with her. which he loved because he loved her. (sorry for my bluntness).

"Forgive me, I'm trying to find
My calling, I'm calling at night
I don't mean to be a bother,
But have you seen this girl?
She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy, it seems
I'm going to ask her to marry me"

she disapears and he is trying so hard to find her and doesn't think she left by will. he relizes exactly how much he loves her and wants to marry her.

"Even though she doesn't believe in love,
He's determined to call her bluff
Who could deny these butterflies?
They're filling his gut"

this part reeals more about why she left saying that he loved her more. that she couldn't exactly fathom their love. he wants to prove her wrong, he's saying that he just knows that it's love. he can feel it.

"Waking the neighbors, unfamiliar faces
He pleads though he tries
But he's only denied
Now he's dying to get inside"

he is searching for her, calling everywhere, but he can't find her. it's pretty much eating him up inside because she was the one for him.

"The neighbors said she moved away
Funny how it rained all day
I didn't think much of it then
But it's starting to all make sense
Oh, I can see now that all of these clouds
Are following me in my desperate endeavor
To find my whoever, where ever she may be"

nobody knows where she is, they think she just moved away. he finds it ironic that the day is so horrible and it gets all dreary and rains. he implys that even god is trying to help him.

"I'm not coming back (forgive me)
I've done something so terrible
I'm terrified to speak (I'm not calling, I'm not calling)
But you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up, I'll be blunt, now the rain is just (You're driving me crazy, I'm)
Washing you out of my hair and out of my mind
Keeping an eye on the world,
From so many thousands of feet off the ground, I'm over you now
I'm at home in the clouds, and towering over your head"

then the girl says that she's not coming back. in other words she died. then she says that she did something terrible which i think means she killed herself. she couldn't even tell him why, but that is how he knew her as this girl who was incapable of loving because of being hurt.she can't even think about him she is so ashamed. she says that she is watching him from heaven. i think she is happier now, she still is going to keep an eye on him and will remember him. because she does still love him and that she was mistaken to think she doesn't deserve him. i think she regreted killing herself.

"Well I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home"

the guy figures out she killed herself and that there is nothing he can do now. he is going home where the first part happens of him remembering sunday.

it is a very sad song. i like it though. well that's what i think the song means.

Amazing as it seems. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/20/08

I cannot believe how perfect this song is. It's absolutely perfect and if this were the last song I heard I'd die a very happy woman.

Love All Time Low.
Juliet Simms is so amazing for her role in this song.
