I don't believe this has ANY religious connections. I guess it all depends on who you ask. Seeing as I could care less what religion people follow I don't want people flooding a good song with religious comments.
For me this song is a cry for help. Like you're broken and you need someone to be there for you. Like say for instance you just get out of a bad break up, this song is the way you'd feel, like you need them desperately.
Take this as you will, but unless the band says so themselves, or the song has a name of a specific religious deity, this song is not connected to any specific relgion.

For all of you non-Christians, first I just want to say that no one is judging you. If they are, they aren't really living the Christian life they say they are. We want to help you see the truth. When you say the lyrics aren't referring to God so much as just anyone to save them, that really is close to the truth. You need someone to save you, so you think of the best solution, something that you can believe in. That is other people. There really is truth to that. Jesus really wanted to tell us that what matters most is the way we treat other people and love them. The 10 Commandments have 3 commandments about God and 7 about other people. What really matters is that we help eachother, but to do that, you need God. People reach out for what they believe in when they need to explain things. The idea that a friend can save you is a shadow of the real truth, because only God can breathe true life into you.

When i first heard this, i didn't even know that they were a christian band. in fact, i just now learned that reading these reviews. I cut, i listen to "satanic" music and all of that good stuff. i won't argue with anyone about religion, but i will say this song is amazing. o_o'

I'm decidedly not christian, but i can see how many people take this as a christian song. let me give you the antichrist perspective, so to speak. ;D

That's really deep. even for someone like me, who has some extremely depressing and sad stuff (Ohio is for lovers!<3). i definitely thought this was a emo song when i heard it. i still think they wrote it for emo kids, but if ya'll think it's christian, go ahead. 'o.o

I think it's a song about depression. when you're depressed, you've thrown yourself away, and you feel like you're falling, and that no-body cares enough to catch you and stop you from falling straight into hell. you smile and tell the world it's okay (or you don't), but on the inside you feel the same. you feel alone, angry, and nothing matters anyone. i don't think the line "breathe into me" is meant specifically for god, i just think that it's anyone who can save you from yourself.

I loved this song the very first day I listened to it. And it reminded me of my own struggles and how I have always depended on God to rescue me. Now, I'm not saying I'm perfect or better but the thing is HUMANS are either controlled by God or by the devil and it is our decision to make....but the bottom line for me is that is song reminds me of how guilty, vile and helpless I am and how I need God above all these in order to stand strong.

I've gone through some hard times and have thought about suicide and cutting and had stuff like no ones cares about you, you are worthless scum. I was dead inside and thought I had nothing to live for, and I am a huge Christian and had that stuff going through my mind.
I never told anyone except on of my friends who is a sister to me, and I had listened to Red and similar bands but nothing ever stuck out and one day my niece said something to me and it made me realize what I was thinking, She said "I love you" and that night I listened to this song and I full realized what I was thinking was wrong and I turnedmy life around right then and there.
So when you listen to this song and you are going through a depression jus remember there are people who love yhou and care about you!

I LOVE THIS SONG!!! I first heard this song at my Bible Study for the "new song" acivity on Wednesday. The point was to wipe out secular music and expose our teens to gospel music, mostly new gospel Christian music. When I heard this song, it didn't even take me the whole song before I decdided that I wanted this song on my ipod. I actually wiped out the secular rock songs that I liked, and truth be told, gospel rock music is so much better than secular rock. I'm so glad that I heard this song!!!

I feel stupid, because this is my third comment on this song...and I haven't even talked about the song yet! Here we go...

This song is great. Red is one of my favorite Christian metal bands (along with Crimson Moonlight) and they sound great live. I'm going to see them in about a month, and I'm really looking forward to it. :)

Christian or not, they do really pwn... But then again, I am a non believer.. Actually, I'm more of a Satanic than a Christian..

However, this song's lyrics aren't necessarily religious.. Instead of someone "falling" and needing the help of.. "Something", it can also be about someone who's wanting the help of someone getting rid of depression and so on..

And I just love the song's ending.. It's like.. BREATHE INTO ME OR FCKIN' DIE!
