Madonna Ray Of Light Lyrics

Last updated: 12/06/2011 10:00:00 AM

[Verse:]
Zephyr in the sky at night I wonder
Do my tears of mourning sink beneath the sun
She's got herself a universe gone quickly
For the call of thunder threatens everyone

[Chorus:]

And I feel like I just got home
And I feel
And I feel like I just got home
And I feel

Faster than the speeding light she's flying
Trying to remember where it all began
She's got herself a little piece of heaven
Waiting for the time when Earth shall be as one

[chorus]

Quicker than a ray of light
Quicker than a ray of light
Quicker than a ray of light

[verse]

And I feel
Quicker than a ray of light
Then gone for
Someone else shall be there
Through the endless years

She's got herself a universe
She's got herself a universe
She's got herself a universe

And I feel
And I feel
And I feel like I just got home
And I feel

Quicker than a ray of light she's flying
Quicker than a ray of light I'm flying

Lucifer, Son of the Morning | Reviewer: Migglemeals | 12/5/11

Everything joe said (who apparently is growing fond of Luciferianism as he chooses to capitalize Lucifer but not even his own name) is absolutely right. This song is awesome. I never appreciated Madonna until I heard "Beautiful Stranger" and this one locked in that appreciation like a pair of fuzzy handcuffs securing my sexual enjoyment for the evening. By the way, I am pronouncing "appreciation" in my head with an "s" sound for that "c" in the middle. It makes me sound like a more educated and experienced speaker; like Patrick Stewart. I love this song almost as much as I love hearing Patrick Stewart speak... and semicolons; I will use any excuse to use them. ;}

This is a Luciferian Song | Reviewer: joe | 9/17/11

This song is another of Madonna's Luciferianism. It is designed to elicit the response described above about a higher spiritual plane.

Lucifer is Madonna's Lucky Star, her Beautiful Stranger, and the god of the material world of which Madonna is a Material Girl.

There must be something to this Lucifer worship as a lot of rich, powerful, and famous people use the language and symbols all the time.

I Love this Song!!! | Reviewer: Pat | 8/29/11

I first heard this song from Glee and after that moment, I immediately and totally fell in love with this one! Yup! It has a magical beat that can drive and transport everyone into another dimension! => Viva Madonna!!! =>

The Synthesis of Ray of Light | Reviewer: Tony Vega | 5/30/11

First let me say...I have been a Synthesist for over 30 years and am an authority on electronic music from German Elektronik to Hip-Hop. I'm saying that to say this: "Ray of Light" may well be the greatest electronic piece of music ever. Treasure the electronic force of this song; we may not see anything like it for some time. Good job Madonna!
Donna Summers' "I Fell Love" is a close second.

Incredible Song | Reviewer: chris | 11/7/07

This is quite simply my favourite song of all time. Every time I hear it, it transports me to a higher plane. I can't rightly explain the reasons why. The soaring melody, the rapid hypnotic beat - I'm not sure what it is but I get completely lost in it every time. Some people have described the song as Madonna on speed and it is true that there is a powerful hyperactive element to the song. Whatever it is I doubt if I will ever hear another song where all the elements come together to form such a masterpiece again.
