These lyrics are just incredible. I agree with the above post that Pearl Jam is just a phenominal musical act in which there is no bullshit laser show and wild graphics when on stage. What we witness is a stripped down stage with some candles and a projection screen along with a band that is there to rock out. Nothin' but pure rock, with great guitars, the occasional good synth and sometime a cello.

I just sent these lyrics to a dear friend suffering from the loss of a long term relationship. The words speak such a deep truth. You can spend your time alone, redigesting past regrets, or you can some to terms and realize you're the only one who cannot forgive yourself. It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

Just poignant, human emotive, incredibly in touch with your inner being lyrics. Then you add the crescendo build up during the song... and then brought back down at the end. Just stunning.

Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam are to be experienced. If you have the means, see these guys, they rock.

just one of this band's great lyrical efforts- this one by mike mccready- the secret to this band (which the mainstream has basically written off since the early 90's - yet they sell out every arena they play in minutes and their live shows are this generations "dead") besides the live shows as mentioned are the lyrics to their songs-
