Metallica Poor Twisted Me Lyrics

Last updated: 03/11/2013 03:56:22 PM

Oh poor twisted me
Oh poor twisted me
I feast on sympathy
I chew on suffer
I chew on agony

Swallow whole the pain
Oh it's too good to be
All this misery

Is just for oh poor twisted me
Poor twisted me

Poor mistreated me
Poor mistreated me
I drown without a sea
Lungs fill with sorrow
Lungs fill with misery

Inhaling the deep dark blue
Oh woe is me
Such a burden to be
Poor mistreated me

To finally reach the shore
Survive the storm
Now you're bare and cold
The sea was warm
So warm
You bathe your soul again
Bathe it again, and again, and again

To finally reach the shore
Survive the storm
Now you're bare and cold
The sea was warm
So warm, you bathe your soul again

Good to see my friend
Oh woe is me
Such a burden to be
Oh poor twisted me
Oh poor twisted me
Poor twisted me

This song is AWESOME! My favorite song, WAY better than all this new Justin Beiber cr@p and all of these boy bands (AKA queer bands). Buy the album like that other dude said, worth every penny!

cool song... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/4/13

I usually don't google lyrics for songs but I listened and listened and couldn't figure out the lyrics so I did and now here I am. Great song, bought the album - worth every penny.

This song is great!
I think it is simply about chronic self-pity.
Sea is the metaphor of pain. It may seem safer\easier (when depressed) to just lay in pain and expect sympathy, then standing up to try to live a life.

Deeper than you think | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/24/11

I think this song is about James mocking himself because he drinks too much...how his life is SO bad and I think he is also mocking peoples opinion of him. The part where he says survive the storm but the sea was warm and now you are bare and cold and so you bathe again and again is referring to his drinking. He was drunk (the storm) but he got out of the sea (now sober) and he realizes he liked being drunk better, the being cold is his insecurity, so he gets drunk again and again (bathes again). This is just my opinion...but real cool song
