Poison The Well Lyrics
The important stuff: we formed in 1997 and since then have
gone through various band names, member changes, and other
seemingly unavoidable hurdles young bands often encounter
in order to survive. I believe the original intent of the
band was to be a "noisecore emo band." Hahaha, whatever
that is. That idea was something kind of new and fresh at
the time and since we were all fans of both heavy and
melodic music it seemed natural to incorporate both
elements. Since then the core of the band has been
established in the form of Ryan, More...

Reviews about Poison The Well songs
nerdy a classic, the realist is its father | Reviewer: nima
------ About the song Nerdy performed by Poison The Well
"The realist" by PTW is about how his anxiety ended up ruining the relationship that was so perfect (Nerdy). The realist is him realizing that his anxiety was at a point where they could "sit each other down" but eventually became so bad she would just go to bed and they would move on the next morning. This ensued, and "Stay" in the realist is the anger of losing the person, but the realization she's old enough "to take care of" herself coupled with the melodic guitar allows closure.
Or I could be completely wrong, that's more my interpretation of it.
please just this once, do this for me
ive seen you in clouded visions saying goodbye
i rememer when we were gonna sit eachother down
and explain ourselves
always busy blame myself
your color was blue myself is making me feel that way
i apologize apologize you're old enough to take care of...
if we cant speak go back to your bed so you'll be here
when i wake up
and im worried with no reason why
harm is an acquaintance and it says its not very fond of you
just this once "stay" i say
"ill see you soon" he says
until you come back i will stay awake
your color was blue myself is making me feel that way
i apologize apologize you're old enough to take care of...

------ About the song Apathy Is A Cold Body performed by Poison The Well
One day I came to work. A kid. I work with named Paul asked what the opposite of apathy was.. And I quickly responded with "sympathy?" And he just sat quietly. He never spoke much. Ever. I got in my car when I got off work and oddly enough this song was playing. It was very weird. That was about a year ago. I come into work today to be told that Paul and his mother were found dead in their house. He killed her, and then himself. This has nothing to do with anything but something I thought was so weird. This is a great song though.

------ About the song Apathy Is A Cold Body performed by Poison The Well
i feel like this song just describes who i am in 5 minutes more than i could in a lifetime. when i listen to this song, its like a personal voyage into the soul. it is just crammed with emotion and depth its like opening up a can of a lifetime of pain and experience. this is Poison the Well's masterpiece in my opinion. I don't think I have ever heard something more poetically beautiful and musically structured. i feel like crying every time i turn it on.

------ About the song Not Within Arms Length performed by Poison The Well
I'd sever the stars from the sky
and place them in your hands
this song is sad only for the fact that he cant seem to make his relationship with someone be more then friends and he wants it more then anything, it kills him to know it will never be what he wants.
but it's beautiful

------ About the song Nerdy performed by Poison The Well
So this song is the modern-day equivelent to metal as a power ballad in the eighties, but not bad. This is possibly my favorite song by Poison the Well, and it actually really makes me happy to listen to it :)

------ About the song 12/23/93 performed by Poison The Well
you my friend are not bright... Aside from the fact you mispelled revolution, they are not trying to fuck with anyone... this song is about the vocalist's brother who commited suicide on that date. Check the cd booklet, it dedicates the cd to him, not to mention in a certain interview he stated what i just said. it is something he doesn't prefer to talk about since it was his brother...but who could blame him? it is an amazing album, as is all of the ptw releases...nothing beats distance makes the heart grow fonder and this one though...

now i have heard alot of things about this song "12/23/93" it could be about a locker number and what ever happend, it could also be a date or it could be the song writter knew some who had or had tryed to kill them self on that date, personaly i believe that it has something to do with the technical revolition, or it could be the more popular beife that most people tell me, they are trying to fuck with us, eather way POISONTHEWELL IS SICK
