Play Dead Lyrics
Performed by BjorkReview The Song (2)
Darling stop confusing me
With your wishful thinking
Hopeful embraces
Don't you understand?
I have to go through this
I belong to here where
No-one cares and no-one loves
No light no air to live in
A place called hate
The city of fear
I play dead
It stops the hurting
I play dead
And the hurting stops
It's sometimes just like sleeping
Curling up inside my private tortures
I nestle into pain
Hug suffering
Caress, embrace
I play dead,
It stops the hurting

This is a song which really shows Bjork "Belting out" an amazing song to put it one way or another. It's so powerful and impressive, the way emotions are able to be expressed during the song through the different ways she uses her voice. This just adds to another all time favourite of mine :P
Fantastic song. | Reviewer: McDude | 5/12/06
I love this song, especially her voice and the tune when it reaches the bits "the city of fear" and "caress every ache".
I'm a fan of Bjork, and this is one of my favorites of hers.
Great girl.
Great artist.
