Pixie Lott Biography

Pixie Lott was born in Kent, UK on 12 January 1991 as Victoria Lott, now living in Essex, UK with her Mum and Dad and two siblings.
From five years old, Pixie attended the Italia Conti Associates Saturday school then moved onto the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. During her time there, she appeared in the West End production ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ and ‘A Celebration To The Sound Of Music’ on BBC1. At age fourteen, Pixie was part of the ‘Chorus line’ recording her singing on the ‘Roger Waters opera’.
At fifteen years old, Pixie replied to an advert in a stage magazine looking for the next singing sensation. The advert stated from sixteen yers old, but Pixie didn’t want to miss the opportunity and so lied about her age to enter.
Pixie travelled to the US and started working with some top names in the business. Originally LA Reid heard one of her demo’s and signed her to Island Def Jam Music Group but then Pixie got a new manager which resulted to Pixie now being signed to Interscope in the US and Mercury Records back home.
Over the next few years, Pixie worked hard recording songs and establishing a name for herself and at eighteen years old, her debut single ‘Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)’ entered both the iTunes chart and the UK Singles chart at number one after over 50,000 sales.
That same weekend, Pixie performed in the Big Top at the Isle of Wight appearing in her first festival. Pixie was also on tour supporting The Saturdays around the UK. In September 2009, Pixie will release her debut album titled ‘Turn it up’ that will sure see huge success stamping her name even more on the music map!
