Leave me dreaming on the bed
See you right back here tomorrow for the next round
Keep this scene inside your head
As the bruises turn to yellow
The swelling goes down
And if you're ever around
In the city or the suburbs of this town
Be sure to come around
I'll be wallowing in sorrow
Wearing a frown
Like Pierrot the Clown
Saw you crashing round the bay
Never seen you act so shallow
Or look so brown
Remember all the things you'd say
How your promises rang hollow
As you threw me to the ground
And if you're ever around
In the backstreets or the alleys of this town
Be sure to come around
I'll be wallowing in pity
And wearing a frown
Like Pierrot the Clown
When I dream I dream of your lips
When I dream I dream of your kiss
When I dream I dream of your fists
Your fists... Your fists
Leave me bleeding on the bed
See you right back here tomorrow for the next round
Keep this scene inside your head
As the bruises turn to yellow
The swelling goes down
And if you're ever around
In the city or the suburbs of this town
Be sure to come around
I'll be wallowing in sorrow
And wearing a frown

Review about Pierrot The Clown And the swelling goes down. | Reviewer: xXAnonymousRockGodXx | 4/20/09
This song is so deep it's scary.
I brought the album, being a 'net-based-fan' because of Meds and Infa-red...
I started listening to this song, and the amount of Love and Devotion, but Betrayal in Brian's voice within this song, shows alot of meaning...
I belive it's about someone has lost someone, either a friend or girlfriend to a drug-related inccident, and wants everything to go back to normal... Even putting his own body, soul and hart to make it work out...
The Placebo boys have done well in this song... One of my ultimate faves...

This song actually sends shivers up my spine...
or maybe thats because im cold.
i love the echo of his voice
i think really he just has a druggie girlfriend that beats him up.. but he still loves her.

This song is so beautiful. Poetic and haunting, it doesn't depress you, but rather comes into your very heart and shows you the feelings that you hide and also the horrors and powers of the world. absolutley fantastic placebo.
This is so amazing... when I listen to this song I hear the words that describe me . ...really, it talks about everything that hurts me...:( I have never felt so much that it's about me. I don't stop listening Pierrot The Clown . Never
Hi this is my first review on this site and what brought me to this song is probably the need of refugee that it provides, portraying the pain honestly , beautifully and even though being raw and cruel in a way that it doesn´t depress you, but accompanies you..

In awe | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/2/07
This song is one of PLacebo's best. I het the comparison going on though. Placebo and My chemical romance are very different bands and i like both of them.
Once agin i love this song, it is poetic and heart wrenching.

This song is amazing, the song and the lyrics are so dreamy and melancholic it's almost as though you can picture it and feel the emotions that it tries to evoke. Truly a work of art and by far better than My Chemical Romance could ever hope to be - Sorry "Callum"
