Review about Phatfish songs
Boasting Christ and our generation? | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song To You King Jesus performed by Phatfish

Not bad as regards Jesus, and within a trinitarian framework too - less common nowadays. A good Johannine feel. It's good to sing Christological songs, and to affirm our beings in Christ. Let us indeed boast in the lord. But "this is the hour" sounds too eschatological, as if we're special people because in a special time. Also "the hour" (thrown in to rhyme with "power"?) is a term needing unpacking (Rm.13:11?; Rv.3:10?), and will possibly be sung without a clue. I suspect a weak insert, and that we are nothing special as a generation, or rather group of generations.
