This is a truly beautiful and moving song. You can feel his sadness. I'd like to think there's a happy ending-- she really does love him but thinks he is the one who doesn't care. In the end they figure it out and live happily ever after.

i first heard this song in my dance recital i was in the wing and my tap number was coming up next i was watching the lyrical number that was on stage at the moment and they were doing their dance to goodbye philadelphia it was so sad but good and touching the lyrics were great!! its now my favorite song! so i want to say thank you lyrical for introducing me to that song and thank u miss lisa for choosing it. i love to lyrical dance and because of lyrical i like goodbye philadelphia! and thanks peter cincotti for writing these wonderful lyrics down!
