I LOVED THIS SONG THE FIRST TIME I HEARD IT WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT ONE DAY IT WOULD MEAN MORE TO ME. I LOST MY MOM 1 1/2 YRS AGO AND THIS SONG BRINGS TO MIND MEMORIES OF HER. SHE WAS A GREAT WOMAN AND MY HEART HAS AN EMPTY SPOT CAUSE SHE IS GONE.
Traditional country is a disappearing art. I like the new stuff but not enough new artists stay true to the roots of country. Patty Loveless sings really good stuff and he Mountain Soul LP is outstanding. You'll never Leave Harlan alive is a gut wrencher.
i love this song i have been through alot in 17 years and when i listen toi this song it helps me realize that i can get through my problems all i need to do is cry sometimes and let the past go if you hold to the past now it will be there for the rest of your life
My sister past away 07/20/04 at only 32 years of age. She had 3 children all under 13 and was a single mother. She lived a hard life and we found this song to be so fitting for her that we played it at her funeral services. I just want to say Thanks to the song writer and to Patty Loveless for making it possible for us to have the perfect song for her services. It is a wonderful song!!!!!
THANKS
