Maria Mena Patience Lyrics

Last updated: 06/12/2005 11:00:00 AM

Damn you for trusting me
what's wrong with you?
I'll work for nothing less.

Damn you for accepting my immaturity
when I scream for silence
child, I'll work for nothing less.

I need patience, and someone strong enough to hold my breath for me until the smoke clears.

I need patience, and time to think before I speak, for when I'm short of breath, I tend to lie.

Damn you for letting me sleep till noon
and get away with it.
I'll work for nothing less.

Damn you for keeping quiet when I lied to you
I won't work for anything less.

I need patience, and someone strong enough to hold my breath for me until the smoke clears.

I need patience, and time to think before I speak, for when I'm short of breath, I tend to lie.

Ahhhhh, ahhhhh, aaaah...

I need patience, and someone strong enough to hold my breath for me until the smoke clears.

I need patience, and time to think before I speak, for when I'm short of breath, I tend to lie.
I need patience, and time to think before I speak, for when I'm short of breath, I tend to lie

A great Norwegian import! | Reviewer: Megan | 8/20/2004

Maria Mena is such a great singer and song writer. This song is one of her many great songs, and my personal favorite. My next favorite song is "You're The Only One" from her White Turns Blue album. Her unexpected voice and great lyrics are a welcome departure from the poppy music that has been coming out recently. Don't get me wrong, I love pop as much as the next person, but Maria Mena's voice is a rare and wonderful gift. Thank you Norway!
