As a big fan of alternative music as well as rock, folk and punk atmospheres, Pascale Picard is a singer-songwriter who delivers her compositions with an energy that is as powerful as her voice. In the midst of adolescence, after playing the piano and drums, this songwriter to the core adopted the guitar. This whim did not only give her a taste for composition, but also a desire to draw from various sources (Alanis Morissette, The Cranberries, NOFX, The Beatles and many others) to play covers on different local stages... These were “beautiful” years spent experimenting and feeling the pulse of the crowd, all the while studying arts/letters and doing humanitarian work in Nicaragua.
However, fall 2004 was memorable in her early course, since it was during a stint for Quebec TV show Les Pourris de talent (rotten by talent), aired on MusiquePlus, that Pascale was finally revealed to all! In the crowd and at home, the reaction was immediate. Pascale was a contestant that, without a doubt, made an impression! Over numerous shows across Quebec, the complicity of the band solidified and they quietly prepared the material of what would later become "Me, Myself & Us". A recording contract and a dozen songs later, the quartet entered Wildsky studio. The album was arranged and produced by the Grand brothers (Bran Van 3000, Lili Fatale, Cirque du Soleil), and later mastered by Vlado Meller (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shakira, Rage Against The Machine, Metallica) at Sony Music Studios in New York.
4 years and 2 Felix awards later, Picard began a new adventure with Philippe Morissette on bass, at her side since the beginning, Marc Chartrain on drums, and André Papanicolaou on guitar. The long awaited second album will be released in May 2011.
