Grace Potter And The Nocturnals Paris (Ooh La La) Lyrics

Last updated: 04/21/2013 01:45:35 PM

Uh! Whooah, yeah!
uh, uh!

You got me down
on the floor
So what'd you bring me
down here for?

You got me down
on the floor, uh!
So what'd you bring me
down here for?

If I was a man
I'd make my move
If I was a blade
I'd shave you smooth

If I was a judge
I'd break the law
And if I was from Paris
If I was from Paris

I would say
Oooh la la la la la lala
Oooh la la la la la lala
Oooh la la la la la lala
Oooh la la la la la lala

You got me up
on your swing
So when you gonna
shake that thing?

You got me up
on your swing
So when you gonna
shake that thing?

If I was a man
I'd make my move
If I was a blade
I'd shave you smooth

If I was a judge
I'd break the law
And if I was from Paris
If I was from Paris

I would say
Oooh la la la la la lala
Oooh la la la la la lala
Oooh la la la la la lala
Oooh la la la la la lala

oh...

oh... If I was a man
I'd make my move
If I was a blade
I'd shave you smooth

If I was a judge
I'd break the law
And if I was from Paris
If I was from Paris

I would say
[softer, tapering off] Oooh la la la la la lala

Okay so the first time I heard this song was on the X Factor, and it was the audition song for Jennel Garcia. SHE WAS AMAZING!!! After watching her performance I went and checked out the original song and was shocked to realise that I preferred Jennel's version over the original. I strongly suggest that you hear her cover. It's so good!

Brian Fuente? YES SIR! | Reviewer: Ana | 2/20/12

I'm going to be "that girl" by saying no, I have never heard the original song. I found this song while watching The Voice and a 10 second clip of an auditioner named Brian Fuente sang this. It was the best thing I heard on the show all night. As soon as the episode ended, I had to buy it on iTunes.
I imagine the original is just as kick-ass as Brian's cover. Actually... the moment I hit Submit I'm going to head over to YouTube and check it out.
This song is extremly catchy and actually pretty hot! Great song and I imagine this'll be one of the "Top Played" list by the end of the week.
