yours is the only version of my desertion that I could ever subscribe to
that is all that I can do
you are a past sinner the last winner I'm raping all around me
until the last drop is behind you
But you're so cute when you're frustrated, dear
Yeah you're so cute when you're sedated, dear
I missed you
sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can
sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can
sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can
sleep tonight (Daniel: Simpleton)
sleep tonight (Daniel: You're Simpleton)
sleep tonight (Daniel: Can i Follow?)
sleep tonight (Daniel: What the hell?....)
you are the only person who’s completely certain there’s nothing here to be into
that is all that you can do
you are a past sinner, the last winner and everything we've come to
makes you you
But you cannot safely say while I will be away you will not consider sadly
how you helped me to stray
you will not reach me I am resenting a position that's past resentment now I can consider now there is this distance so
sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can
sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can
sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can
sleep tonight (Daniel: Simpleton)
sleep tonight (Daniel: You're Simpleton)
sleep tonight (Daniel: Can i Follow?)
sleep tonight (Daniel: What the hell?....)
something to say
something to do
nothing to say
when there's nothing to do

... in this band everything appears to be just where it belongs. no bassline, gituarlick, drumming or word out of pauls mouth could be anywhere else. and if it is anywhere else, it is already a new song as great as the last one
electrifying!!!shocking!!!
damn paul is hotter than hell

Heard of em before and liked a few tracks but now they're in my bloodstream. Great sound, great lyrics. What a band!!!!

I just love that haunting sound and all those dormant emotions Interpol can invoke. This song is a prime example of that.

Public Display Of Affection | Reviewer: Chris | 8/27/05
Sounds of cold, near every song. Arctic licks. Basslines of a New York dream. Not to mention the drums. It isn't clear who is the standout front man of this group, but HE is surely a lost soul being found through poetry, and putting his heart's poetry to music. The band as a whole sounds of cohesiveness. Greatest band of the new.
This is what it's all about - the evolution of rock. Well done guys.
