This is one of Alice Cooper's 11 singles (11 singles in 40 years), and alone it's a great song. It's dark and painful, but implies that there's still some hope; that Alice cares...

From the other side, this is a very violent song about a murderer's latest victim. The song is specifically about "Cold Ethyl", who was murdered by her husband Steven. Either way, it's the truth. We all work the ones we love like dogs, and only see the error of our ways once they're dead.
