I don't think another song has ever touched me the way Tim Buckley's "Once I was" did. Although I don't think I have actually heard it in maybe 20 years, it still plays in my head easily when I think about it. I remember exactly where I was when I heard he died...so young, so brilliant.

Tim Buckley's "Once I Was" hit me so hard the first time I heard it, over thirty-five or so years ago. He sang the song from the bottom of his soul/sole about love, rejection, and memories. It still plays in my mind after so many years: "Will you ever...remember me."
