I Always Thought The Song Was About (River Phoenix) And How He Died At The Viper Room Because Of Drugs.

But Then I Read The Lyrics Again And It Sounds Like He Got His Wife Stolen By Some Guy Like The Situation Between (Eric Clapton & George Harrison) Fighting Over Pattie Boyd .
