Avril Lavigne O Holy Night Lyrics

Last updated: 09/23/2009 11:00:00 AM

Avril Lavigne & Chantal Kreviazuk

from "Maybe This Christmas Too"
October 7, 2003

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of my dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night divine, O night, O night divine!

[Chantal, 3 rd Verse of the original ]
Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy Name!
[Avril , Chantal a high pitched accompaniment]
Christ is the King! That ever, ever praise we!
His power and glory evermore proclaim!
His power and glory evermore proclaim!
[Avril] oh-oh , oh , oh
[Avril , Chantal a high pitched accompaniment]
His power and glory evermore proclaim!
His power and glory evermore proclaim!

A really great version. I ´m only a Christian and I can only value the faith and the passion put in this song. Avril and Chantal are sincere and very moving in and I have to admit I broke in tears in a moment.

This was a christmas classic! I think they ruined it. U all need to check out Kelly Clarkson's version - that's talent. As for Avril and what's-her-name, sorry, but it pretty much blew.
