Nylons Lyrics

Who would of thought that four actor friends, getting
together in the back of a Toronto delicatessen to sing in
late 1978, would be the beginning of one of the most
enduring and important groups in the contemporary a

Reviews about Nylons songs

Hey! Don't Run Away!!! | Reviewer: John Baker
------ About the song Ai No Corrida performed by Nylons

...Or at least that's a rough translation for the title.

The Nylons are but one of many acts that have covered this saucy little song.

The man who wrote and originally recorded this song in 1980 was CHAZ JANKEL. Chaz did the arrangements for a British new wave act called Ian Dury and the Blockheads, who had sucesses with songs like "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick," "Sex and Drugs and Rock n' Roll," "I Wanna Be Straight," and "There Ain' Half Such Clever Bastards."

Chaz parted ways with Mr. Dury and his gang of Blockheads to release his first solo effort, which featured "Ai No Corrida."

Chaz' version met with little fanfare, but was snapped up by studio whiz QUINCY JONES. "Q" had a minor hit with "Ai No Corrida" in 1981 when he arranged it for an act called "Dune." (or "June?")

Special thanks to KFAI DJ Ron "Boogiemonster" Gerber for providing me with the information.
