Nursing Home Lyrics
Artist(Band):Ministry
Review The Song (1)Print the Lyrics
The moat in my eyes never bring me no sleep
Just to strap me inside with the demons I keep,
Gotta leave me alone, gotta let it belong
Tired of living, too tired to die
Made the sharks keep swimming when he don't know why,
Gotta get the lean fin,
Only thin that he wears,

[Chorus]
Nursing me to the movie control
Nursing me to the bureau and through
Nursing me to the median lobe
Nursing me in the nursing home

Sitting and rocking and an old man comes
Just to prop up my feet with a broken old hose,
Stop riding those rails,
Stop setting those sails,

He likes boom boogie
He's got an old trombone
While he's stamping out the fires with a broken beat tone
Got a troubled soul,
But he's not that cold,

[Repeat Chorus]

I've been alive ten years in a nursing home,

Stinking on water I could get me a bullet
He needs to keep that gravy on the wake of pot roast
Got a fire inside,
It's gonna burn him alive,

Talking in circles to the roofing dome
Got a bed three² in the nursing home
Gonna say bye-bye,
He's gonna walk on by,

Review about Nursing Home

Blatantly Wrong Lyrics | Reviewer: Bawl Parker | 2/16/2007
Every single time I have looked for the lyrics to this song online, I have always found this blatantly wrong version. If you listen to this song even one time, you will realize how incorrect these lyrics are. I assume one idiot transcribed them wrong the first time, and then every time someone started a new lyrics site, they kept referencing these and it spread all over the Internet. I seriously spent an entire night one time listening to this song over and over again, trying to transcribe the correct lyrics, but it is so hard to understand Al during this song. However, I WAS able to decipher the chorus correctly, and this is how it really goes:

"Not dead yet, just moving kind of slow
Not dead yet, just doesn't let go
Not dead yet, just leave me alone
Not dead yet in the nursing home"

The person who first transcribed this song must be deaf to have messed this up because the chorus is the one part where you can actually understand Al coherently. The rest of the song is too hard to transcribe, so I am not going to waste any more effort on it. The only way the actual lyrics to this song will ever be correct online is for Al Jourgensen himself to finally sit down and write them down on his Web site or something. I'm sure he'll have enough time to do that once he becomes a history professor at UT. If you want the correct lyrics to "Nursing Home," just listen to the song.
