Review about Novocain Stain Amazingly deceptive initially, slowly becomes one of the best tracks from "This Is A Long Drive..." | Reviewer: Repstock | 1/15/2008 When first going through Modest Mouse's first studio album, "This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About" I didn't really acknowledge this song as I was all caught up on tunes like "Tundra/Desert", "Talking Shit About A Pretty Sunset", "Make Everyone Happy/Mechanical Birds", "Lounge", etc. I have since realized upon listening through the album again, that this song is really an underrated MM tune. The subtle tonal transitions are wonderful, the lyrics vivid and visceral, Brock's vocals are just exceptional as well.
