Review about No Reason Not bad. | Reviewer: Ace | 8/22/09 Actually, my favorite Sum 41 song (along with 88 'cause it's 88, and Still Waiting), but that's not really saying much. The real things that struck me in this song were: a. "Times like these I've come to see That everything but time is running out" - kinda ironic, and a little confusing, but for whatever reason (don't ask ME -- /I/ sure don't understand what goes through my head) this gave the song power for me. b. The last part -- REALLY hard to understand, but if memory serves (because I havn't heard this song in many long months), it goes, "So how long has this gone? I don't see this ending It's too late; we can't change What has now begun We act like it's alright; Why are we pretending? We've been wrong for so long We've known it all along" - Also seems like a contradiction, specifically "we can't change what has now begun" -- because didn't it say before there's "no reason we can't change"? Perhaps it is less about trying to change NOW than it is about looking at what we can't change and learning from the past. This actually turned out to be a very different review than what I was planning -- to provide the unidetifiable scrap of lyrics at the end that were missing and mention, MAYBE, a bit about it, but most of that came off the top of my head.
