No More Sorrow Lyrics - Linkin Park

Review The Song (22)

<!-- start of lyrics -->
Are you lost
In your lies
Do you tell yourself I don't realize

Your crusade's a disguise
Replace freedom with fear
You trade money for lives

I'm aware of what you've done

[Chorus:]
No more sorrow
I've paid for your mistakes
Your time is borrowed
Your time has come to be replaced

I see pain
I see need
I see liars and thieves
Abuse power with greed

I had hope
I believed
But I'm beginning to think that I've been deceived

You will pay for what you've done

[Chorus]

Thieves and hypocrites
Thieves and hypocrites
Thieves and hypocrites

[Chorus x2]

Your time has come to be replaced
Your time has come to be erased
<!-- end of lyrics -->

Suck USA Government | Reviewer: mary | 4/22/13

Hey American people Its just government and I know you people are good and want peace, you are really different from your government

My Anthem | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/21/09

This song gives me courage, strength, and will. I am going through a long and strenuous battle with my neighbor that is resulting court. This song brings me out of my timid, fearful shell and says, (excuse me) "Bring it, bitch! Lets do this!"
I love LP so much and this song is the icing on the nu-metal cake for me!

HORRIBLE final pt | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/31/08

Ok, I will give you the fact that they are artists who are expressing themselves artistically, but everyone who has posted since my last few messages are inept. I was also, like LP, expressing my opinions about a song. After my opinions were posted, a select few started with personal attacks. Let’s think about this one together; GWB might be our president, but who did the liberals have to offer in the past elections? Lying Gore? I invented the internet too, Mr Gore. Kerry who disgraces every veteran who has ever won a metal? I think not gentlemen. There are purposes to everything in life. Believe it or not, Bush WON THE ELECTION. That means that not only did the public overpower the liberals, but so did the Electoral College. Also, WAKE UP! If our government is corrupt, then go get educated and get elected because you can obviously do a better job. Back to addressing personal attacks…. Bullet Friend, go back to fucking Canada, eh. Anonymous on 12/5, there was no buzz on a shitty song. Kiddo, learn basic sentence structure and grammar. Anonymous on 12/14, look up popular sovereignty in the dictionary, join the group or move with the other Mr Anonymous. Last, but sure as heck not least, Anonymous on 1/14, go fuck yourself; my friends are over there. Remember, if Linkin Park is expressing their opinions, so am I, so criticizing me is just contradicting yourself. This is my final post so you will have to find someone else to argue with. Have a great day gentlemen and keep in mind that arguing over the internet is like running in the Special Olympics; even if you win, you’re still retarded. :)

Hey HORRIBLE, what are you doing here instead of fighting in Iraq against those terrorist with nuclear weapons ? they might need more eyes to try to find them, you should try and help them.

PS: awesome song

smg==idiot?? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/14/07

not sure, the jury is still out on that one. This song fucking rocks, if you don't like it, fine, don't buy it. but there is no need to bitch about someone actually saying what they feel. What should they have been politically correct about it? should they never say anything that may upset your frail constitution? They have every right to be pissed at the government, and every right to voice their opinion about that, the fact that they can do that in records doesn't mean that they have to write songs that YOU agree to.

Nothin' wrong with this song | Reviewer: Bullet Fiend | 12/8/07

Hey, SGM, it's a SONG. It can be about whatever the hell LP wants it to be and quite frankly a lot of it's damn well true.

"...our wonderful democracy." - You know you could give comedy writers some good material with comments like this.

That said, this song's got good vocals and bgm and is my favorite song on the new album. You're not my favorite anymore but you still rock LP!

SGM | Reviewer: Kiddo | 12/7/07

Oi dude, shut the fuck up. It is a good song, regardless of the topic! Look past it and listen to the structure of it, appreciate it. As for the lyrics, its true, American government is fucked. And people can express whatever feelings and opinions they want. Hell, thats what music is for!

SGM | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/5/07

Why do people like SGM have to post comments to bring everyone's buzz down. Really dude? Really? Just enjoy the song, sorry Linkin Park doesn't feel the same way you do about President Bush, but hey face the facts not every person is going to feel the same way you feel about someone, it's called people having their own opinions, I bet if it was Pro-Bush song you would absolutely love it. The best part of being an artist is being able to express yourself ARTISTICALLY. I would rather have them sing about what they feel inside then what the commerical public wants. One last point, it's not like LP is lying about Your President Bush.

Yes. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/12/07

Yes.. It is true.. No matter how we try to deny it.. It is true.. Our government is corrupted and all it thinks about is killing for power and all the american's death are because of the government's foolish doings. I don't think we'd have terrorism if our government was peaceful to the outside countries. I don't think we'd have that aeroplane crash into the building that day if our government din't harm the lebanese, palestenians and others by helping Israelians against them or (LEADING) Israelians against them. Oh and to tell you something.. I'm a Muslim and I've become an American Muslim because I saw how peaceful, wonderful are the Muslims and how much faith they have in their God and I'll be a Shi'ite Muslim until my death even if I'm an American or not. Linkin Park.. You are wonderful!

u | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/8/07

dont u realise that u americans where in fact lied to by ur leader gwb. this might be hard 4 u to read but infact the war isnt against evil people but inocent ppl. Americas government is so corupt. ppl i n america are given free speach but yet it is taken away from ppl who try to use it for exaMPLE RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE WERE ARRESTED OUTSIDE WALL STREET FOR USEING FREE SPEACH ALSO MANY MEMBERS OF THE POLICE FORCE ATTACK PEACEFUL PROtesters. America has so much trust in their government that the government can do wat it wants to it and it wont see it.
And who ever the Anonymous at the top is but the reason u do nt like politics in a song is because it shows how corupt ur system is and u cant deal with that so instead looking at the truth u do wat the system tells u and u decide to dislike the song. WAKE UP UR LEADERS ARE CORUPT.

HORRIBLE?! pt II | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/24/07

Now I will admit that I could simply not buy their album. But Sabaoth has obviously not gotten the point. Any fourth grader taking some sort of American History class would know that for a democracy to work, popular sovereignty has to be upheld. I do not want to sit listening to the radio and hear a winy song about our government. We have bigger problems to deal with than that (like the current baby-boomer retirees who are going to deplete the national social security and medicare/medicade fund). Dealing with the song, the "lies" and "mistakes" and whatever else the song talks about is in fact not lies at all. Do you even remember the morning where thousands of fellow Americans died?! Do you have no shame?! Denying September of 01 is like denying the holocaust (like the current Iranian regime). Sabaoath has obviously never stepped up to the challenge to serve our country in the uniform. "I've made it clear, Madam President, that the war against terrorism is not a war against Muslims, nor is it a war against Arabs. It's a war against evil people who conduct crimes against innocent people" -GW Bush.

Politics | Reviewer: Sabaoth | 10/6/07

If you don't like the fact that these amazingly talented musicians are pointing out the obvious inadequacies of a corrupt government, then simply don't listen to them. Noone is forcing you to repeatedly listen to this track, nor did anyone force you to buy the album. If artists make pointless music with meaningless lyrics, then they're wasting everyone's time. Music is supposed to be an expression of opinions and emotions, not what's it's becoming: a mass-marketed money-grabing scheme. At least Linkin Park are staying true to their style and message.

Politics and Pushovers | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/3/07

I agree with you, HORRIBLE?!, in that I wish artists would not put politics in songs. But you ruined this song for me, cos I thought it was a classic Linkin Park break-up song like Points of Authority or Place for My Head. Think about it. I like the song, but put the message in a political context and I hate it. Change the context to classic LP, and it is a wonderful, rollicking song.

Politics | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/3/07

I agree with you, HORRIBLE?!, in that I wish artists would not put politics in songs. But you ruined this song for me, cos I thought it was a classic Linkin Park break-up song like Points of Authority or Numb. Numb is a parent-hater, and Points could have many interpritations. Think about it. I like the song, but put the message in a political context and I hate it. Change the context to classic LP, and it is a wonderful, rollicking song. And it is not like System of a Down cos they would never slam the administration protecting our country while other people lie to our faces about. Hey! New interpritation for all yall conservatives. Hillary is a theif and a hypocrite!!!
