No It Isn't Lyrics - Plus 44

Review The Song (4)

Please understand
This isn’t just goodbye
This is I can’t stand you
This is where the road crashed into the ocean,
It rises all around me and now we're barely breathing
A thousand faces we'll choose to ignore

Curse my enemies forever
Let’s slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful
This desperation leaves me overjoyed
With fading lights that lead us past the lives that we destroy

I listen to you cry
I cry for less attention
But both my hands are tied
And I’m pushed into the deep end

I listen to you talk
But talk is cheap
sponsored links
And my mouth is filled with blood
From trying not to speak

So search for an excuse
And someone to believe you
In foreign dressing rooms
I’m empty with the need to

Curse my enemies forever
Let’s slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful
This desperation leaves me overjoyed
With fading lights that lead us past the lives that we destroy
Please understand

I lay rotting where I fall. I'm dead from bad intentions
Suffocated and enbalmed, and now all our dreams are cashed in
You swore you wouldn't lose, then lost your brain
You make a sound that feels like pain

So please understand
This isn’t just goodbye
This is I can’t stand you

i think its the best song from the album. i like it a lot cause i liked blink a lot and this song gives u an idea of what mark felt during the break-up.
its called "no, it isn't" cause everytime people'd ask mark if the song is about tom we'd say "no it isnt"... thought its pretty obvious the song IS about tom. just a tip for those who dont know

No, It Isn't | Reviewer: Matt | 11/19/2006

This song was first released as a demo in December of 2005. It was more electronic sounding, lacked the subtle drumming found in the album version, and featured Carol Heller on backup vocals and guitar. It was one of the saddest, deepest songs I had ever heard.
Now, with their debut album, +44 rerecorded the song without Carol (who was replaced by Craig Fairbaugh and Shane Gallagher). While Carol's vocals seemed to complement Mark's perfectly in the demo of the song, Craig Fairbaugh (guitar and backup vocals) fills that void perfectly with the album version.
This version of the song also features subtle drumming by Travis throughout until the end when this seemingly quiet ballad explodes into a full-blown rock song.
Added is another verse, which makes the song even more heart-wrenching, especially to those who have followed blink-182's breakup over the past year.
The original demo of the song got an 8/10 from me. This one gets a 9.5/10 (I reserve the other half a point because, believe it or not, there are still better songs on the album).
