FORMED: 1984, Boston, MA DISBANDED: 1994 NKOTB are Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joe McIntyre, Danny Wood and Jon Knight. They were formed in 1984 by Mary Alford and Maurice Starr, the person who discovered New Edition. Following his loss of New Edition in 1983 , Maurice decided to form another all-singing-all-dancing group. Only this time they would be all-white. They was to be Maurice Starr's "sweet revenge on New Edition". The Ones That Got Away Some 500 guys auditioned to join NKOTB including two of Donnie's friends (Chris Hasberg and Edward Russell) but were considered unsuitable. A third friend (Peter Fitzgerald) was pulled out because his mother wanted him to concentrate on school. Mark Wahlberg was also a one-time member of New Kids On The More...
