Lacuna Coil My Spirit Lyrics

Last updated: 07/01/2012 11:00:00 AM

Forget the pain and all the games we played
Forget the worry and the shame
I don't want no more
The gates of hell are waiting,
Let them wait a little more

Where, where I go
My spirit is free, I'm coming home
Where, where I go
Remember me but let me go

With no regrets I lay down on my blame
The faith, the hate it's all the same
I don't care no more
The gates of hell are waiting
Let them wait a little more

Where, where I go
My spirit is free, I'm coming home
Where, where I go
Remember me but let me go

[Italian]

I can feel like I'm fly
Where, where I'll go
I can feel like I'm flying
Where, where I go

Really goes back to the old days. | Reviewer: GS | 7/1/12

This is by FAR the best song on dark adrenaline that really takes the listener back to the old days of Lacuna Coil. While Dark Adrenaline was a pretty good album (the best out of the 3 recent experimental albums), some songs just fell short of the LC standard and sounded way too overproduced and radio-friendly. This song however is a true LC masterpiece that; while not quite as good as falling, distant sun, comalies, or virtual environment, ranks among Lacuna Coil's best ballads and sounds much more true and old school. Best of all, it's a hauntingly beautiful tribute to the late Peter Steele, one of LC's biggest influences and a great friend of theirs.
