George Canyon My Name Lyrics

Last updated: 01/20/2013 07:00:25 AM

It’s cold in here feels like everything’s upside down
I can feel you talking but I can barely make out the sound
I been kicking around these parts, feels like a year
I’m gonna change this world if I ever get out of here
She wants to dress me in pink, paint’s my bedroom blue
And I just laugh to myself, because only I know the truth
This love is my only emotion
Haven’t learned any fear, any pain
It’s kind of funny with all this commotion
I guess they’ve got me to blame
And they don’t even know my name
And they don’t even know my name

Well I’ve never felt so ready, think it’s finally time
Cause that big old world is waiting, and it’s mine all mine
Just then everything got real quiet, it got real bright
And a man took my hand said don’t worry, your mommas gonna be alright
Then he opened the gate & I followed him in,
Said you can wait right here, till it’s your turn again
And his love is the one true emotion
Heaven knows no fear, no pain
I never got to set my wheels in motion
But they loved me just the same
And they didn't even know my name
Didn’t even know my name
You loved me just the same
And you didn’t even know my name

I feel like I've been given a gift from my precious baby ... | Reviewer: jen | 1/19/2008

My pain is so intense, there just aren't words to explain it. My cousin Melodie gave me this song to listen to. My heart warmed as the tears ran down my face and hope filled my soul. My baby is gone now but safe in comforting arms. The reassurance is that I will have another baby but I will always remember the love I have for the one who is in heaven and he knows the love that his daddy, brother, sister and I have for him and always will have. I can't give enough thanks for this song ...

I love this song!!!!!!! | Reviewer: Kristy Clark | 6/26/2007

This song is full of true emotion and it is one in a million. You can listen to songs on the radio and think that they are great but it is very rarely that I you find a song which hits the hard issues, and this is one of those songs. Well done to George Canyon for singing this song so well, cause you can have a great song but you need a great voice to pull out its full potenial. Well Done!!!!
As I am only 16, I am trying to get my foot my door in the world of country music. And I am just hoping that one day I will be able to write a song like this.
