I love Jesus and MuteMath but I can honestly day that this is not one f those songs that can go either way. Control Chaos, Typical, OK and You are mine I can say have a double meaning but Picture is talking about dealing with a loss. A relationship or the passing of someone. Mute Math has Christian roots but they themselves don't proclaim their faith out loudly. They probably don't deny but from the moment before they got signed they specifically made it clear that they weren't a Christian band. I love them hard core, but you can't deny the truth. They're frustrated believers who don't want to be tied down by church rules. Blood Pressure was more of a venting song than a proclamation of their faith. There were no photographs in the bible. Just saying

Dude. This song can Totally be about Jesus. Dont judge christians because of the way we interperate songs. MuteMath were all raised christian so it possible for it to be about jesus. There song blood pressure is about christianity so why couldnt this one be. Us christians arent "folling ourselves with BS.." we are following the truth and the way and if we can think its about jesus whether you do or not. I pray you find god, and i honestly hope to see you in heaven.

Depending upon your point of view, the "it" can be several things. "It" could be love, or a moral compass, a sense of purpose, or a friendship. Sure, we can live without it. But is just existing living? Living a whole lifetime without love is a cruel twist of fate - a dark shadow to carry on your shoulders like a backpack full of rocks. Living without a sense of purpose, moral compass, or direction leaves you wandering about in the dark without a clue. Living with a broken friendship on your hands or living without a friend at all leaves you completely alone. But thank goodness we don't have to face that fate permanently - we have the choice to never be alone, we can always have a completely reliable, true-to-the-end (and beyond) friend by our side. Someone out there must know what I mean...
But yeah, without "it" - however you chose to fill in the blank - life is cold and dreary.

This isn't about jesus you fool, whats with christians all the time folling themselves with bullshit like that.

It's obviously clear,(if you're smart enough) that the lyrics deal with the simple truth of loss, either a lost relationship, or the pain of someone's passing.

great GOD centered lyric!!!. my first exposure to
some of the band members was with a GREAT band called Earthsuit. it was at a festival in New Hampshire in 2000. these BROTHERS are by far the
most creative players,in my humble opinion, in the industry!!!. as with players of this caliber, you have to pay CLOSE attention not only to the action on stage, but the content of
the song. Mutemath has been critized for not being overtly Christian, give me a break!!. LISTEN to the lyric!!!!!. i have since seen them live a few times, again at TheSoulFest in New Hampshire and at a bar in Boston. the "show" and lyrical content does not change!!!. that should speak volumes!!!. we Christians try WAY to hard to put God in a box. who is in Control?

Truley, this is my fave song in the UNIVERSE!!!
When i FIRST heard it, i just instantly fell in LOVE with itt, and that was a couple years ago, like, 2004 or 2005, and i'm still in love with itt, and i would constantly WOULD play that song all night when i go to sleep, and when i want to listen to music, and when i have spare time...
this song, you don't know how MUCH i love this song...
