Moving stranger,
Does it really matter,
As long as you're not afraid to feel?
Touch me, hold me.
How my open arms ache!
Try to fall for me.
How I'm moved.
How you move me
With your beauty's potency.
You give me life.
Please don't let me go.
You crush the lily in my soul.
Moving liquid
Yes, you are just as water.
You flow around all that comes in your way.
Don't think it over,
It always takes you over,
And sets your spirit dancing.
How I'm moved.
How you move me
With your beauty's potency.
You give me life.
Please don't let me go.
You crush the lily in my soul.

Review about Moving Should have been the second single | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/5/09
Much as I love "The Man With The Child In His Eyes," I think that "Moving" should have been the second single off The Kick Inside. What a melody, what a VOICE. This is definitely one of KaTe's best and most underrated songs. I know that she wrote it for her dance teacher, Lindsay Kemp, but to me it has always seemed to be about unrequited love. Whatever it's about, "Moving" is so beautiful, and I love the whale song at the beginning and end. I want to learn how to play this one on the piano.
