------ About the song Modern Chemistry performed by Motion City Soundtrack
the line were he say i believe in crystal cause i believe in me yea is actually a referance to the original crystal light comercial as part of their jingle they say i believe in crystal cause i belive in me
I have loved you all from the very start. You are my all time forever favorite band. I just love it when people who know write music that makes other people who know not feel so alone. I think that the great thing about your music is that even people who don't know can enjoy it but people who do know FEEL it. Keep on keepin' on. Respect.

------ About the song L.G. Fuad performed by Motion City Soundtrack
It's not so angsty song that the lyrics would let believe. The song is more about being a total mess and yet accepting and living with it. This song is right out of my life. I'm such a mess now days, but this song helps, since it resambles my situation so closely.
One for the song word: amazing. The song is amazing and MCS is one damn good band too!

------ About the song Modern Chemistry performed by Motion City Soundtrack
This is an amazing song that is difficult to truly understand if you have never dealt with the nightmare of having a mental disorder. The nursery rhyme he talks about is the chant of "meds work, stay positive" you get fed during treatment. I like the line about crystal light; the meds are supposed to be a magic fix, just like crystal light is a diet miracle.
The second verse is about the frustration of the meds not working right, and having to deal with people continuing to encourage to chat the nursery rhyme.
In the third verse, the frustration causes him to give up on his meds. Antidepressants are known to worsen the disease when stopped abruptly. I almost died because of a similar episode. The last few lines are about the thought of suicide, a permanent fix, but still wants everyone to know that he tried to get better.
I've loved this song for many years, but only recently I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I can only now understand the pain and fear that accompanies the disorder. I sympathize with the writer.

I like the feeling of nostalgia when I listen to this song. I especially like the part when pretty much only the bass is playing at 2:07 for some reason but idk even the very beginning with the guitar is really nice. And the lyrics are absolutely AMAZING!!!!!

what it means by suffering | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Modern Chemistry performed by Motion City Soundtrack
okay I explain because I accually suffer from adhd bipolar depression insomnia and various other things that I cry myself to sleep with the suffering is obvious when he says nusery rhyme it means as a kid it's horrible because often if you suffer from any of these your are way smarter than other people but because of that you lose the ability to prove your smart my iq is 145 I'm failing most of my classes daily being made fun of because you have to bring meds to school avoiding the people who mistreat you so horribly you lose all social skills aka (not sure how to spell this) your synapsis are slow so you need to be able to fight back without getting physical or they send you to alc or something like that and you couldn't possibly talke stuff out with bullies mostly because no one likes you if you can't function properly and just hearing this song makes me break down and cry I have to go listen to everything is alright lol because it's true no matter how bad things are they will always get better
This song is totally amazing. I agree with MOTIONCITYSOUNDTRACKFTW they are so right. seriously. you people have alot of time on your hands to complain about some song. a great song at that :p
Get over yourselves its an amazing song, if you dont like it, dont listen to it!!!!!

------ About the song Make Out Kids performed by Motion City Soundtrack
Well, I think that it's two different people that are pretty much completely different. As maybe there likes and dislikes...etc. But, even though they're completely different they still connect in some sort of way and have this love for each other. And, I think he's say that it doesn't matter about all that because of the love and he hopes he will never have to say Goodbye because he really likes her. I think they still have fun even though the differencee about them. I also think he's trying to say that if they keep trying hard enough then they can still be together and doesn't matter and if they "keep swimming" as he uses in the song--then his relationship will never die.
Well, this is what I think...probably wrong but, oh well. (:
As for the term emo, well, I don't really think it's that judgemental seeing as it is a specific genre of music and the group of peopel you are all whining about is called scene and that term is judgemental, but then again, people I personally know who classify themselves as scene and cut themselves because their friends who also call themselves scene do it too piss me off.
BUT!!!!
This song is in no way about any of that soooo YAYY! LGFUAD!

------ About the song Better Open The Door performed by Motion City Soundtrack
If you read the booklet that came with your cd, you will see the lyrics do in fact read "You better open the door before I take a hammer to the walls around it. I cannot let you inside my CELL for fear I'll sink the ship and drag us both down."
Sorry bro, but the lyrics are right.
As for the "I have a massive erection part." That's just crazy talk. No version has that in it.
this song s fucking amazing!!!
oh,and btw emo is the most ridiculous judgemental term in the world!
:)
it's a bunch of bull-shiza.lol.
judging is just stupid...nd emo was a word created by a bunch of ppl who thot the 'cutters' are dumb for cutting...thats not true.
u either cut bc u want or need attention,or u have some depression or personality issues.
whatever.
THE POINT IS...everyone has a reason nd it's rude to call them emo.
judging ppl is stupid nd mean. :)
i kno alot about this bc i speak from experience even tho im young.lmao.
anyways!

------ About the song Make Out Kids performed by Motion City Soundtrack
My understanding of the song is that two people with the potential to develop a close lasting friendship met and turned the beginnings of a friendship that was forming between them into a "friends with benefits" type thing as long as they keep hanging out and hooking up, they get along great, but as soon as circumstance changes and they're no longer able to hook up, their friendship dies because they never had a chance to fully develop the friends part. They know its bound to happen one day, and they know hooking up is a mistake, but until then they'll just keep going and hope that the day when it ends never comes. Then it comes and reminds them that once you hook up with someone, you'll never be able to be their friend.
I love this song! Instead blasting out remarks about "emo's" I'm going to review the great song.
-It's very good. The lyrics have much meaning, and its a nice light tune. I can listen to it with any mood. The lyrics fit confusion AND anger. The lightness fits happiness and tiredness. I love it. It makes sense cause at some point, everyone says "Lets Get Fucked Up And Die"
this song is really good just like the rest nd it's not that theyre emo, these songs have a deeper meaning than what is heard or seen in the lyrics. u have to think about it, its not like rap where its like im a pimp and i got money
I think it means... | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Make Out Kids performed by Motion City Soundtrack
I think this song means that there were 2 kids who never met and were in a sense on a blind date...I get this from the beginning were Justin (singer) is talking about what each person likes. If you already know the person you wouldn't ask what each other likes, because you already know. Anyway back to the meaning...So they are on a "blind date" and well things spark and they jump steps in a relationship and never truly get to know one another but they develop a "love" for each other. The part "we keep each other amused" would be making out with each other cause thats all they have to like each other on. They dont want to say goodbye because they had fun being with each other but didn't relies that their "love" wasnt real. Then they finally stopped what they were doing and never talked to each other cause what they had truly wasnt real and had nothing to go off of when they stopped cause they were never really friends in the first place.
hey
yeah my brother is best frinds with justin from MCS.. and justin says that this was an actual letter this girl jacklynn wrote to him after they broke up.. so for the people wondering if it was a letter, the answer is yes. it is. and jacklynn was refurring to 'holding me down' as justin was holding her back from her real dreams becuase he was just staying in minnesota and doing nothing.. then after he read this letter, thats when he and the band started geting their act together and now known as Motion City Soundtrack!
ah yeah tahts the real story

------ About the song Make Out Kids performed by Motion City Soundtrack
Two people who have been friends for a while develop an attraction to each other later down the track. They act on that attraction and then it becomes awkward because they had been friends for so long that it partly messed the 'friend' part of the relationship up. They don't really speak or hang out anymore, unless they accidentally bump into each other on some random occasion. That's when they hook up again, This happens every time they get together. They know when they say goodbye after an encounter, it wont happen again or at least it wont happen again for a while. They have a confusing relationship because they cant decide on what they want from each other, a friendship or a relationship. They fear if they start seeing each other that it may mess up the friendship if they break up. So until they decide they are stuck in this confusing and repetitive rut.
