Review about Mono Mono, Mono | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/16/09 In my opinion this song has little to do with Kurt Cobain, or, at least, has as much as with Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, Michael Stipe, and other male-artists with whom Courtney had an affair/close relationship. It's more about her sense of inferiority, of proving herself better than the "brilliant, talented" ones that, for one reason or another left her behind. tired of this tired rock | Reviewer: johnsluggettcriticizing | 3/29/09 If anything this lyric seems to reveal Love subconsciously confessing to killing Cobain, "i slashed his tires and bled his brakes," and her jealousy of his talent. It's about time, though I doubt it would hold up in a court of law. This is tired hard rock done better 18 years ago by (fill in the blank). If this sounds fresh to you you are probably very young and just don't know better, and that is actually the only valid excuse one would have.
